My name is Gabrielle Charpentier, and I am the host of berlindetoi.

After studying political sciences at Sciences Po Aix in France, I moved to Berlin in 2020, in the middle of lockdown. Like many people who arrive alone in a new country, I was confronted early on with questions of belonging, direction and identity.

Alongside my work in property management, where I operate in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, one question kept coming back: how do you meet the right people, not just socially, but at the right moment of your life?

I created berlindetoi as a way to open spaces for real conversations. To understand what happens when people reach moments of transition, when something in their work, their projects or their way of living no longer works as before.

Over time, I realized that I am particularly drawn to moments of tension, where decisions are postponed, avoided or quietly weighing on people.

Through the podcast, I meet artists, founders, freelancers, employees and leaders who are navigating complexity, growth or change, often between cultures, roles or identities.

berlindetoi is recorded in French, German or English, depending on the language that allows each guest to express themselves most precisely.

Since 2021, the podcast has deeply shaped my life. It has allowed me to meet remarkable people, witness many turning points up close, and better understand how individuals navigate moments where clarity becomes necessary.

I’m looking forward to meeting you.
